Countdown to Round 1

It's been one week since the port was "installed" and it's healing well, though it's still painful and super itchy.

Tomorrow at 8AM we go into the clinic to begin Round One of Chemo. I'll be getting chemo at the clinic there for 2-3 hours, and then leaving the clinic with a very fashionable fanny pack with additional chemo treatment to do at home for 46 more hours. I return on the 22nd to get the gadgetry removed and receive an infusion of fluids and anti-nausea medication (with my past history of hyperemesis gravidarum through both pregnancies they're being extra cautious about how sick I could get).

Thank you to everyone that has supported me and all of my family. There truly aren't enough words to articulate what it means to all of us. The outpouring of love is tremendous and I am not alone in wishing we had the emotional energy to respond to everyone.

So much love, The Dosch/Ross Family
